Join Vultr
Vultr is seeking a Trust & Safety Investigator to join our growing Trust & Safety team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Trust & Safety. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to legal inquiries from law enforcement agencies and other authorized entities, ensuring timely and accurate handling of sensitive matters. You will also investigate potential policy violations and partner with cross-functional teams to help protect Vultr’s platform, customers, and brand.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact at a fast-growing cloud infrastructure company while developing expertise in global trust and safety operations.
What to expect:
As a Trust & Safety Investigator, you will:
- Respond promptly to legal inquiries (e.g., preservation requests, subpoenas, search warrants, and court orders)
- Conduct investigations into potential Terms of Service (TOS) and policy violations, including:
- Copyright and trademark violations
- Spam and phishing abuse
- Malware and fraud-related activity
- Exploitation or harmful content reports
- National security-related matters
- Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Storage, etc.) to ensure proper handling of requests and investigations.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle sensitive data and subject matter with discretion and professionalism.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and tools for managing investigations.
Our new team member will need:
- 1–5 years of experience in Trust & Safety, investigations, compliance, or a related field
- Strong organizational and triage skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Experience handling sensitive and/or confidential information
- Ability to remain composed when reviewing sensitive subject matter
- Familiarity with office productivity tools (Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace)
- Ability to pass a thorough background and credit check
Bonus if You Have:
- Experience responding to legal inquiries or working with law enforcement
- Familiarity with global privacy frameworks and data protection principles
- Knowledge of Linux OS
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
- Eligibility or ability to obtain a security clearance if needed
Compensation
$75,000 - $85,000
This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
