Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and Junior Test Automation Engineer to report to the Site Reliability Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is excited about UI and API test automation. This is your opportunity to join our fast-growing team and leave your mark on Vultr and the future of Cloud Infrastructure.
What to expect:

Test Automation Development: Write efficient and maintainable UI and API tests, including thorough documentation and test reporting to ensure transparency and reproducibility of test results.

Test Automation Maintenance: Maintain existing tests to ensure continued support for the ways customers use our services.

Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams to align development efforts with reliability, scalability, and business objectives.

Documentation: Produce high-quality test plans for APIs, systems, and processes to ensure stability, speed, and scalability.
Our new team member will need:

Experience in writing automated tests using Python (Selenium)

Experience with cloud infrastructure and knowledge of cloud-based services

Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to address automation challenges

Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders

A commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of technical excellence
Nice to Have:
-
Familiarity with running tests through GitLab CI
-
Proficiency with observability tools such as Grafana for monitoring and reporting test failures

Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or other similar technologies

Familiarity with Database as a Service (DBaaS)

Knowledge of cloud-based storage solutions
Compensation
$60,000 - $75,000
This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background, and skill set.
