Senior Sheditor

New York, NY

About Us:

We are a contemporary global family of companies building brands for the now. Under our umbrella sits our flagship brand - VaynerMedia, along with ChukMedia, Tamara Group, VaynerSpeakers, Gallery Media Group, Eva Nosidam Productions, and Tingley Lane… and we’re always adding 😊

We are 16 years old and have since expanded to over a dozen beautiful offices across the globe – from Los Angeles to London, Singapore to Sydney, Mexico to Miami; with this role based at our HQ in NYC, where it all began.

Culture is our key and Empathy is how we build it. VaynerX is strong with a world-class combination of diverse backgrounds collaborating to put forward innovative, creative and strategic solutions to the one advantage that stands the test of time - PEOPLE. Day in and day out, we propel some of the biggest brands in the world to the intersection of attention and culture.

The Role

We’re hiring a new Sheditor…or several.

So…what’s a Sheditor, you ask? A video shooter + editor, all wrapped up into one incredible person. You know ALL the angles on how to concept, shoot, edit, and optimize incredible video content. You also know how to work as a team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive views…and business results.

We’re looking for a Sheditor who is equally comfortable behind a professional camera and inside an edit. Someone who understands social, marketing and culture, but whose superpower is taking an idea from shoot to final cut, all in an afternoon. You know how to make content look fantastic without making it feel overproduced.

You feel equally comfortable behind a professional camera and inside an edit. Someone who understands social, marketing and culture, and is genuinely excited about making B2B marketing content people actually want to watch. Think podcasts, executive interviews, talking-head content, live events and social-first series.

You’ll be a key production partner for the VaynerX marketing team, owning content from shoot to live post, across 7 channels and growing. You can confidently handle the technical side of production while understanding what makes content work on social, whether the moment calls for something polished or fast and native.

You’re proactive, organized and comfortable working across multiple projects at once. You don't need a massive production to make something great, and you're equally comfortable collaborating with a team or picking up the camera and making it happen yourself.

Responsibilities

Shoot + Edit End-to-End

Own video production from capture through final edit across social content, interviews, podcasts, recurring series, executive content and live events. While you’ll primarily work behind the camera, you’re also comfortable self-filming or stepping in front of the camera when the content calls for it.

Own Professional Production
Confidently operate professional cameras (video + photo), lighting, microphones and audio equipment. Own technical setup, troubleshoot on-site and ensure we're consistently capturing high-quality footage.

Edit for Social
Turn raw footage into compelling, platform-native content for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and emerging platforms. Understand pacing, hooks, captions, graphics, sound and how editing behaviors change across feeds.

Support Live Events
Travel to and capture VaynerX events, executive conversations, panels and other live moments in fast-moving environments. Know how to anticipate the shot, work quickly and capture what the team will need before, during and after the event.

Build Repeatable Content Series
Partner with the content team to develop the visual language and production approach for recurring VaynerX series, helping us create formats that are recognizable, efficient to produce and built for social.

Partner With Creatives
Work closely with creators, content leads and stakeholders across VaynerX. Collaborate on concepts and brainstorms, and help translate ideas into production approaches that are both creatively strong and realistic to execute.

Stay Tapped Into Culture
Keep a pulse on social platforms, editing styles, creator behaviors, marketing and culture, and bring those learnings into how we shoot and edit.

Learn From The Work

Monitor content performance, pull reports and identify what’s working (and what isn’t), using those learnings to inform how we shoot, edit and create future content.

Own It!
Manage footage, files, equipment, timelines and deliverables across multiple simultaneous projects. Be proactive about production needs and flag what the team needs before it becomes a problem.

What You Bring

  • 3-10 years of professional video production, editing or social content experience, including experience creating B2B, interview, podcast or talking-head content and an understanding of how to make conversation-led content engaging and social-first.

  • Experience working with professional microphones, lighting and audio setups.
  • Strong social instincts and an understanding of how content should look and feel across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms.

  • Strong editing instincts around pacing, storytelling, music, graphics, hooks and retention.
  • Comfortable pulling social performance reports and using content data to identify learnings and improve future creative.
  • Comfortable working with executives and talent on camera.
  • Comfortable capturing live events and working in fast-moving environments where there may only be one opportunity to get the shot.
  • Highly organized with strong file-management and post-production workflows.

  • Willingness to travel for VaynerX events and productions as needed.
