Summary

The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for developing compelling stories, producing high‑quality written and visual content, and supporting brand initiatives across multiple channels. This role blends content marketing, creative production, photography, web publishing, and event support to help elevate the company’s brand, engage employees, and drive business development efforts.

The ideal candidate is a versatile storyteller with strong writing skills, an eye for visual design, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Content Development & Storytelling

  • Proactively identify and source compelling stories from officers, leadership and clients.
  • Conduct interviews with officers & employees that capture depth, authenticity, and impact.
  • Craft engaging narratives that highlight company culture, services, and values.
  • Collaborate with Sales, HR & Operations to produce high-quality internal and external written content including:
    • SEO-driven service articles
    • Officer spotlight features
    • Culture and employee experience stories
    • Press releases
    • Case studies
  • Develop content that supports:
    • Human Resources - Employee retention and recruiting initiatives
    • Business Development - Lead generation and sales enablement efforts
  • Web & Digital Publishing
    • Publish, update, and manage content in the company’s content management system (CMS).
    • Maintain consistent brand voice and imagery across web, email, and social media platforms.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team and others to ensure the accuracy, readability, and SEO best practices of digital content.
  • Creative & Visual Support
    • Produce light graphic design materials using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
    • Create visually branded assets, including:
      • Sales sheets
      • Recruiting flyers
      • Trade show materials & Signage
      • Social media graphics
  • Prepare, edit, and calibrate images for web and print use.
  • Utilize vector artwork, iconography, and brand assets to support campaigns

Photography & Visual Content

  • Capture event and field photography using DSLR or point‑and‑shoot equipment.
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of photo and video shoots.
  • Maintain an organized library of photos, graphics, and branding assets.

Event & Brand Support

  • Travel as needed to support marketing‑related events, including:
  • Trade shows
  • Officer of the Year (OOY) recognition ceremonies
  • Employee appreciation events
  • Environmental branding projects
  • Assist in planning and executing cohesive brand experiences across internal and external events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Design, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in content creation, marketing communications, or creative production.
  • Strong writing, interviewing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and basic website publishing.
  • Photography skills with working knowledge of DSLR cameras (preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel for events and field assignments.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations using the English language.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, other employees of the organization, and the general public.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating policies, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
