SUMMARY
Manages all activities related to GSOC operations and development of services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The Senior Manager, GSOC, will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing physical security and investigative programs and strategies. The person will direct the activities of the Physical Security team to ensure compliance with company policies, legal, and regulatory requirements, and develop relationships with management, law enforcement, and first responders. The Sr. Manager will also represent the Corporate Security team on various market and/or area committees and working groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of investigative and physical security operations, tracking all activity and incidents
  • Coordinate the nationwide contract security portfolio for the client's Corporate Physical Security
  • Oversee security operations integrated with large public event management, as needed
  • Provide support to senior executives by facilitating access and security for high-level visitors and events, as needed
  • Develop strategic relationships and act as liaison between client and project integrators in relation to security operations, including law enforcement and first responders
  • Manage the security team by assigning responsibilities, managing accountability, overseeing training and professional development, and ensuring accountability.
  • Develop standards and procedures for physical security projects that implement systems to protect company personnel, assets, and information.
  • Manage the facility security assessment process and ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures at all client facilities, as required.
  • Manage, coordinate, and assure the quality of activities of technical and support staff within the department and with outsourced security services, including final commissioning of all physical security projects.
  • In coordination with the Director, coordinate the finances of all capital security project activities with department program and hold budgetary responsibility for outsourced services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages two subordinates who supervise up to 15 employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these sites. Carries out supervisory responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field. 
  • EXPERIENCE:
    • 10+ years of combined experience in conducting investigations in the military, local law enforcement, or corporate security environment
    • 3+ years of management experience
  • SKILLS:
    • Knowledge of Federal, state, or local regulations relevant to the company (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA, and data privacy affecting theft of cable service preferred)
    • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to engage with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company
    • Comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice, court system, and private security regulations
    • Basic knowledge of data analytics and social media tools for threat mitigation and internal communications
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Understanding of the complexities of software and networking, and how the systems work together
    • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion
    • Ability to use arithmetic skills accurately to complete daily paperwork
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Comprehensive understanding of physical security threats and investigations
    • Experience managing business resumption/recovery programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION:
    • PSP (Physical Security Professional Certification)
    • CPP (Certified Protection Professional)   
  • SKILLS:
    • Working knowledge of incident management and project tracking systems

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations using the English language. 
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, other employees of the organization, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should know about Contact Management systems, Internet software, Inventory software, Payroll systems, MS Office Project Management software, and intermediate to advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) software skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current/valid state driver’s license

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Travel up to 50% to inspect assigned accounts/posts or corporate travel as needed. Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
