Position Overview:

Walleye Capital is seeking an exceptional Analyst Intern to join its Convertible Arbitrage business for a two-week winter internship that runs from early-to-mid January. This high-impact internship is designed for analytical, technically adept students with strong intellectual curiosity. Interns will spend two weeks learning how to value convertible bonds and perform credit and equity analysis on individual companies.

The internship is two weeks in length and will take place in Middleton, MA in January 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn about Walleye’s Convertible Arbitrage business through hands-on collaboration with seasoned portfolio managers.
  • Keep up to date on major macro developments and market-moving headlines, with a focus on understanding their implications for trading decisions and portfolio risk.
  • Help in manipulating data to build custom data sets for use in research and model development.
  • Assist portfolio managers in building portfolio optimization tools to monetize trading signals and manage risk, with an emphasis on leveraging AI.

We seek individuals who:

  • Are pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and July 2028.  Majors in math, engineering, economics, finance, or computer science a plus.
  • Are self-starters who enjoy digging into complex, open-ended problems and can work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Exhibit a genuine interest in financial markets, risk taking, and using technology in dynamic environments.
  • Thrive in a collaborative culture that values intellectual humility, creativity, and continuous learning.

Pay Range: The expected pay for this position is $3,500/week.
