Senior Software Manager, Data Management Services

We're looking for a Senior Software Manager for Data Management Services to join our team, leading the development of a data platform for our automated pick-up and delivery system. This platform will be a crucial component of Walmart's broader fulfillment ecosystem, managing inventory, totes, picking, dispensing, and more. The role involves aggregating data from multiple real-time sources to create a single source of truth.

The ideal candidate should have experience leading a team in architecting large-scale software systems, preferably in e-commerce, pharmaceutical, medical device, or Big Tech environments. Robotics or automation experience is a plus but not required.

What you'll work on:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing software team, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation
• Manage concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination across teams
• Analyze complex customer requirements and transform them into clear, actionable specifications for the development team
• Uphold architectural integrity, striking a balance between rapid deployment and robust, scalable solutions
• Facilitate effective cross-team communication, ensuring alignment and information sharing across stakeholders
• Address technical challenges in depth and drive efficient problem resolution

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years of software development, engineering, or architecture experience
• 3+ years managing a software team delivering enterprise solutions
• Strong understanding of scalable and resilient microservices architecture
• Familiarity with microservices frameworks (e.g., SpringBoot, Kubernetes) for development, deployment, and monitoring
• Experience building software that processes real-time data streams from devices
• Ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues to various audiences
• Skill in assessing and prioritizing customer issues and fixes based on importance, timing, and risk
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
