Principal Product Manager

We're seeking a Principal Product Manager to be a key technical leader to help us transform Walmart’s automation capabilities to deliver unparalleled customer experiences for in-store pickup of online orders. Our team is at the forefront of designing and building robotic systems that provide customers with a seamless experience in placing and picking up online grocery orders at their local stores.
You'll be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop Product Roadmap and Vision: Build the long-term product roadmap and vision in collaboration with a talented team.
- Create Product Strategy Documents: Draft business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, and ROI assessments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align Teams on Product Roadmap: Work closely with technical development teams (Systems/SW/HW Engineering and Technical Program Management), operations teams, and business teams to ensure alignment on priorities.
- Drive Product Processes: Oversee day-to-day product processes including discovery, prioritization, and product launch across various functional groups within the company.
Agile Development
- Define Success Criteria: In Agile environments, set feature-level success criteria and regularly validate completed work with customers to ensure alignment with expectations.
Market and Customer Analysis
- Analyze Needs and Trends: Assess customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build vs. buy perspective.
- Develop Programs: Analyze product requirements and create programs to ensure successful achievement.
- Appraise New Ideas: Evaluate new product ideas and strategize effective go-to-market plans.
What we're looking for:
- Strong background in technical product management.
- Creative problem-solver with exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to drive decision-making across large stakeholder groups using data.
- Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
- Highly effective at managing cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in ROI analysis, market analysis, and costing.
- Energized by working alongside others in a fully in-office environment.
- Familiarity with the grocery and related automation markets is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 9 years’ experience in product management, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, OR
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related area and 8 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
