We're hiring a self-motivated Staff DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer to join our team and drive the development of next-generation infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate is a technology enthusiast with expertise in cloud and physical environments, eager to innovate, automate, and build scalable, secure platforms. If you thrive in dynamic environments, are passionate about Kubernetes, and can seamlessly blend cloud testing with physical production environments, we’d love to hear from you.

What you'll work on:

  • Design and Build Platform Infrastructure:
    • Participate in designing and developing scalable infrastructure, including a Kubernetes-based appliance, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Automation and Configuration:
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible and GitLab CI/CD, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
    • Ensure platform security, reliability, and auto-scaling, leveraging Kubernetes orchestration, including self-healing capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with Software and Hardware product teams to align infrastructure strategies with business goals and product requirements.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, contributing to best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Cloud and Physical Environment Integration:
    • Apply cloud infrastructure experience to physical hardware deployed across data centers, for seamless integration and scalability.
    • Assist in scaling solutions from cloud testing to physical production environments, focusing on performance and reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and practices, proactively identifying opportunities for infrastructure improvements.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, quick iteration, and graceful failure to learn and develop the best approaches to platform development.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience and Technical Expertise:
    • 8+ years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering, focusing on infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and containerization.
    • Expertise in Kubernetes from setup to running applications, with knowledge of auto-scaling and self-healing in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or GitHub for automation and deployment.
    • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible (with some Puppet knowledge) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
    • Experience in large-scale, high-availability production environments, especially in public cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
  • Collaboration and Problem Solving:
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
    • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Security and Reliability:
    • A track record of ensuring infrastructure security and reliability through robust automation and monitoring practices.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.

We offer great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet:

  • Competitive pay and performance-based bonus awards
  • Competitive 401(k) matching program, stock purchase plans, and equity opportunities
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and insurance plans with options for dependent coverage
