Insurance Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Warby Parker is on the lookout for an Insurance Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst to assist in managing the day-to-day responsibilities of insurance billing and claims exceptions. In this role, you'll directly support the Insurance AR Accounting team in expanding the insurance business and helping set up billing practices for long term success. We will count on you to also ensure our claims exceptions are being resolved on a timely and consistent basis, and identify areas of improvement to minimize them. What you’ll do: 

• Assist with plan setup and new launches by advising the Technology Team on billing best practices and working with the insurance carriers to proactively solve claims processing errors
• Audit our new and existing carrier integrations to ensure all functionality works as expected
• Monitor receivable aging reports, as well as research aged items and open claims
• Investigate insurance claims denials and exceptions in a timely manner and work collaboratively with the insurance carrier in resolving these exceptions
• Meet regularly with the Insurance AR Accounting Team to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles
• Work closely with the Technology Team by creating bug tickets and reducing journal entry-related issues
• Report on open insurance accounts on a consistent basis, identify how to resolve them, and highlight what our overall achievement has been in recouping those funds
• Prepare monthly AR journal entries and financial reconciliations
• Brainstorm new processes and improvements with the Insurance AR Accounting Team to increase efficiencies as we scale
