Overview of Role

We’re a fast-moving startup looking for a pragmatic, product-minded iOS engineer who’s fluent in Swift and comfortable working across app architecture, UI frameworks, and Apple’s ecosystem.

You’ll be part of a small team building core product features from the ground up. This is a hands-on role focused on moving fast while building a solid foundation that can scale.

You’ll work closely with backend engineers and product stakeholders to turn product ideas into polished, performant, and user-friendly mobile experiences—fast, clean, and maintainable.

We care more about what you’ve built and how you think than titles or years of experience, but we think the right person likely has 4–7+ years of mobile development with a strong foundation of iOS experience, ideally in a startup environment.

What you’ll do:

• Help us build out our iOS application from scratch
• Work with product and design to create an experience that will help people foster deep connections

You’ll succeed here if you’re:

• Experienced with Swift and SwiftUI
• Product-focused and collaborative—able to partner closely with backend, design, and product
• Comfortable working with REST APIs
• Pragmatic about tradeoffs—able to ship quickly while keeping code maintainable
• Comfortable owning end-to-end features and delivering real product in a small team setting
• Comfortable owning the CI/CD pipeline
  
  

What we’re looking for

• Worked at an early-stage startup or in a lean team where they owned significant parts of the codebase
• Delivered production iOS apps to the App Store with a mix of independence and tight collaboration—not a lone wolf, but someone who can thrive without layers of handoff
• A track record of shaping app architecture and scaling mobile systems as usage grows
• Hybrid role — in person in Glencoe office at least 2 days per week
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• $140-160K base + meaningful equity
