Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Childcare Center Manager to lead our childcare program. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with OSSE regulations, and creating a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for students.
The Childcare Center Manager supervises and develops a team of childcare staff, leads curriculum and program implementation, and designs professional development to support strong social-emotional and developmental outcomes for students. This role also partners closely with families and school staff, fostering a supportive and responsive childcare experience aligned with the school’s mission.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, organizational, and compliance expertise, along with a passion for early childhood development and team growth.
You will drive Yu Ying’s mission, vision and team’s success by:
- Owning all aspects of the OSSE guidelines, to ensure that the program remains compliant; this includes tracking trainings, maintaining staff and student records, and supporting with regular updates in DELLT (Division of Early Learning Licensing Tool)
- Managing a team that includes 3 full-time and 1 part-time/On-call staff members, which may expand as the program grows.
- Creating and implementing a yearly training plan for the childcare team. You will ensure that child care teachers have the tools to meet the social emotional needs of all students across all childcare age groups.
- Leading curriculum development and practices
- Fostering the growth of child care teachers, allowing them to better meet the academic and social emotional needs of students.
- Demonstrating an ability to provide strong, empathetic leadership to communicate with the families, who are our very own staff, that is reflective of our school’s values and mission.
- Providing and identifying continuous high-quality professional development for the staff based upon identified needs and interests, and tracking training hours as required by OSSE
- Demonstrating expertise in creating, implementing, executing and evaluating standard operating procedures for the program.
- Supporting walkthroughs and monitoring visits from OSSE and other external partner agencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or an Associate Degree with greater than or equal to 12 credit hours in ECE; or 60 hours of collegelevel coursework with greater than or equal to 12 credit hours in ECE
- At least one year of experience in a Childcare center leadership role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- CDA or equivalent Early Childhood care certification
- 1+ years of experience as a Childcare Center Manager, Assistant Manager, Assistant Director, or Director.
