Description

The Logistics Specialist I is an active member of the Supply Chain Department. The position requires strong interaction skills with multiple departments: Finance/Accounting, Product Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Procurement, Engineering, Facilities, and multiple laboratories. 

The Logistics Specialist I supports day-to-day operations of the Warehouse and satellite/Kanban storage lotions. 

Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate or BS in Supply Chain or science preferred
• Previous Supply Chain/Logistics experience in a related industry, preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage Kanban locations across different departments
• Maintain reasonable levels of materials in production areas
• Perform Cycle Counts
• Resolve discrepancies and perform inventory adjustments
• Responsible for ERP transactions relating to inventory
• May be involved in the creation and maintenance of department SOP’s
• Responsible for the receipt of incoming materials
• Oversees shipment of outgoing packages, domestic and international
• Responsible for picking and kitting materials to support Manufacturing activities
• Coordinates the storage and management of API from Manufacturing
• Conduct internal area audits to keep department within compliance requirements
• Utilize defined quality systems to initiate or complete deviations and change Controls
• Maintain and review area paperwork relating to inventory transactions
• Always maintain inventory accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
• Provide input and ideas to maximize productivity and compliance in area processes and assist in the implementation
• May be involved with area projects and assisting with their implementation.
• May be required to Participate in audits and inspections
• Attend meetings as area representative when required
• Ensure Receiving Dock and storage areas are compliant with all company and OSHA safety requirements
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of area SOP’s and policy’s
• Follow Warehouse cGMP practices

Key Skills

• Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics of clinical trial, API and GMP materials, preferred 
• Strong computer skills including experience with WH Management Systems, ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and cGMP preferred
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Complex problem solving and critical thinking

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the annual base salary pay range for this position at the time of posting.
