The Role 

The Application SW Integration Team has 3 domains of responsibilities:

  • OEM ECU bring ups and incorporates them into the Wayve SDK, Wayve test framework and test platforms. This includes also incorporating integration tests for peripherals, image creation and flashing tools and expose of ECU utils
  • Own wrapper and abstraction SW layers which are connecting between the OEM runtime and Wayve SDK applications. This includes orchestration, configuration, middleware, logging & tracing, diagnostic and other components provided by the runtime environment.
  • Responsible for continuous integration of OEM SW deliveries.
  • Build per OEM release, delivery and OEM vehicle integration, triaging and analysis
  • Work with other parts of the org for building, debugging and performance analysis methods and tools running on OEM ECUs

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work to adapt our SDK to run over customer HW: each which comes with its own run time environment. You are required to provide elegant solutions which are not degrading our SDK performance but match the customer devices run time environment.
  • Build tools, utilities and test agents and mocks to allow integration of the customer's ECU’s into our Labs and Test farms working with our test frameworks to create a scalable testing environment.
  • Build and integrate tools for tracing, logging, debugging and triaging issues coming from the field to allow us to reproduce the issues in high level of fidelity.
  • Work to support and include into our deliveries customer requirements like diagnostics and vehicle interfaces.
  • Fly to work on customer sites in releases acceptance and integrations. Solve onsite issues and help the customer integrate our product.

 

About You  

In order to set you up for success as a SW Integration Engineer at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience: 

Essential 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent,
  • Demonstrated years of hands-on experience, designing developing and delivering SW components and solutions in the embedded domain,
  • Proven experience with using and modifying Middlewares like OpenDDS, comm protocols utilizing gRPC or similar,
  • Fluent in C/C++ with cross compilation work,
  • Proficiency in Linux or Unix based operating systems, command line tools,
  • Knowledge of build systems, package managers and package deployments,
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills,

Desirable 

  • Experience in automotive grade frameworks like adaptive autosar,
  • Proven ECU bring up experience, ability to solve bring up issues and provide workarounds till a formal solution is provided,
  • Proven experience in porting Open Source packages to different platforms,
  • Solid understanding of system integration and vehicle comm. Protocols and diagnostic protocols,
  • Experience with QNX OS for embedded systems,
  • Experience with build system bazel and cross compilation in bazel,
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Go or equivalent,

This is a full-time, office-based role located in Tel Aviv.
