Production Coordinator (Story/Edit)
Job Summary:
The Story/Editorial Production Coordinator supports the Creative Leadership and crew of our Story, Editorial and Script departments. They will work directly with the Production Supervisor, maintaining workflows, taking notes, tracking assets, distributing production materials and assisting the Production Supervisor in overall scheduling and technical support of the departments. Department interactions may include, but are not limited to, Art, Story, Editorial, Layout, Animation, Post and partner studio Production teams.
Your Role Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Production Supervisor(s) to track department milestones, assignments and quotas. Communicates clear production deadlines to Artists and ensures they have all launch and reference materials for their assignments.
- Attends artist check-ins, dailies and vendor reviews. Takes meticulous notes and shares updates and changes with other departments and Production Leadership in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the organization and management of department assets and breakdowns in ShotGrid, online servers and FLIX.
- Maintains a working knowledge of FLIX and understands how to upload story boards, input dialogue, export PDFs and export sequences to editorial.
- Coordinates workflows with other departments and Creative leads.
- Keeps Production Supervisor and Production Manager up to date on the department's status and if issues arise.
- Assists Production Supervisor in dialogue, scratch and other notes.
- Works with the Production Supervisor on a schedule for talent records and supports cast meetings & records.
- Assists with incoming dialogue, lip-stick cam footage & scripts that editors and vendors will require.
- Gathers materials, uploads & creates playlists for screenings and other necessary sequences to ship to partner studios, ensuring all work is labeled correctly to keep production moving and avoiding delays.
- Alerts Production Leadership as needs or as issues arise.
- Assists other departments as necessary.
- Helps with special projects as needed.
- Trains and mentors dept PAs.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
- 2+ years of Production Assistant or Coordinator experience in animation, feature animation preferred.
- Prior heavy scheduling experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience taking detailed story and editorial notes.
- Basic to solid understanding of feature animation production pipeline.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Must be resourceful, proactive and be able to work on a team as well as independently.
- Must have exceptional organization and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with constantly evolving priorities.
- Must be detail-oriented and have timely follow through.
- Professional experience with Mac/PC operating systems, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, ShotGrid, Flix, Storyboard Pro preferred
- Must be able to work at our Burbank, CA studio a minimum of 3 days a week.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $26.00 - $31.00 salary per hour. In addition, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation provides a variety of benefits to its non-union employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life insurance, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
