A bit about you

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Planner to support our digital and mobile sales team in developing strategic media plans and client proposals. The  Sales Planner role will play a key role in crafting customized media strategies and leveraging market insights to be used for proposals, building decks, and to create an overall story for each client of why WeatherBug makes sense.

You will:

  • Collaborate with Sales Team: work closely with the sales team to understand client goals and create tailored media plans that align with their objectives.
  • Develop Strategic Insights: Use industry research, audience data, and market trends to create compelling ‘value’ propositions that support sales outreach to target accounts.
  • Identify New Opportunities: leverage research tools to identify potential new categories or clients for prospecting by the sales team
  • Create Proposals & Presentations: Develop comprehensive proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of our digital advertising solutions to clients.
  • Be an expert in Research Platforms such as Resonate, Comscore, and eMarketer to help create custom insights
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work with ad operations, marketing, and creative teams, to help develop new ideas and strategies that meet client needs.
  • Manage RFP Process: Oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP) and proposal submission process, ensuring timely and high-quality responses.
  • Manage Lead Generation Partnerships: Manage and take an active role in lead generation
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Continuously monitor industry developments and emerging trends in digital media to ensure a competitive edge in the market.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital media planning, preferably within a digital advertising agency or media company. Mobile in-app experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital advertising platforms, including mobile, display, video, social media, and programmatic advertising.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting data to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with researching facts, insights and valuable data using online resources and tools like ComScore to support business cases and drive revenue.
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills

The base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  Our compensation package also includes a comprehensive benefits platform offering and a company bonus. The salary range for this position is listed below.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $80,000 USD
