Reports To: Facilities and Vehicle Manager
Salary Range: $28 to $32 Hourly. We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC), North Seattle, located at 13555 Aurora Ave N. Seattle, WA 98133, is a new clinic that is modelled after our Auburn location. WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support.
Job Summary:
The Vehicle Technician is responsible for maintaining We Care Daily Clinics’ transportation and mobile unit fleet to ensure all vehicles are clean, safe, functional, and compliant with licensing, regulatory, and safety standards. This role performs minor vehicle repairs, coordinates vehicle maintenance, supports mobile unit operations and provides hands-on upkeep of all fleet vehicles. The Vehicle Technician contributes to safe and reliable transportation for We Care Daily Clinic members and staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance for all We Care vehicles (member transportation and mobile units), including inspections or additional servicing, ensuring practices align with applicable safety protocols, compliance regulations, and infection control standards.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks all fleet vehicles (member transportation and mobile units), including minor carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical repairs
- Maintain accurate logs of repairs, service times, and maintenance activities and complete appropriate follow up
- Conduct daily and weekly vehicle readiness checks, ensuring safety, cleanliness, proper documentation, and equipment functionality
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff drivers, external service providers, mechanics, and vendors
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and identify opportunities for workflow or maintenance improvements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support fleet and mobile unit operations.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned to support facilities operations, such as backup for Facilities Technician.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and preventative measures.
- Familiarity with light mechanical work and troubleshooting.
- Ability to drive passenger vans and large 34 foot plus motorhomes
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs without supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, regulatory compliance requirements, and infection control standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to address maintenance issues
- Ability to work independently and travel to various clinic and mobile locations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- No personal tools required for the role.
