Overview:
As a Senior IT Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Weedmaps’ enterprise applications and infrastructure, including both hosted and cloud-based solutions. This role will lead the planning, implementation, and execution of large-scale deployments, migrations, and integrations across critical IT systems. You will work both independently and collaboratively to ensure that Weedmaps’ technology ecosystem remains efficient, secure, and scalable.
The impact you'll make:
- Design, develop, and implement workflow automation inside applications or via APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, streamline, and automate business processes.
- Evaluate new applications and integration to ensure compatibility within the existing ecosystem.
- Implement, manage, and enhance authentication and access control mechanisms, including Okta, SAML, and Zero Trust security models.
- Lead the escalation and resolution process for Level 2 and 3 technical issues within the IT environment, coordinating with stakeholders and support teams as needed.
- Proactively maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise applications to ensure uptime and performance.
- Proactively maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot on-prem Networking stack.
- Mentor and train junior team members, fostering skill development in automation, scripting, and IT operations.
- Build and improve monitoring systems for critical services, ensuring proactive incident detection and response.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain scripting solutions across multiple programming languages (Python, PowerShell, bash, etc) for automation and integrations.
What you've accomplished:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in support and troubleshooting enterprise applications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SaaS application configuration, integration, and administration.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, Bash,or similar languages, with experience leveraging APIs for integrations.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with workflow automation tools such as Workato, Okta Workflows, Zapier, etc.
- Solid understanding of authentication protocols like Okta and SAML-based configurations.
- Familiarity in JSON data modeling and REST API integrations.
- Proficiency in building and optimizing monitoring systems for service operations.
Bonus points:
- Comprehensive experience ensuring compliance with security and data privacy frameworks, including but not limited to SOC2, GDPR, PCI, and ISO 27001.
- Expertise in implementing and maintaining IT controls for SOX compliance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and general audit readiness.
- Deep understanding of identity management systems (e.g., Okta, Azure AD) and proven success in implementing user lifecycle automation.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace administration and automation, along with hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and system integrations.
- Proactively identifies and automates manual processes.
- Proven success in leading end-to-end projects from initiation through completion, strong stakeholder communication and meticulous documentation.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system, network, and integration issues with minimal oversight.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with Security, Engineering, and Business teams.
- Exceptional ability to create and maintain critical IT documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and detailed escalation workflows.
- Experience with Palo-Alto, Arista/Cisco, and Networking fundamentals.
The base pay range for this position is $137,208.00 - $152,533.00 per year
