Team Manager, Sports & Entertainment (Onsite 4-5 days per week)
Overview:
The Team Manager serves as the primary relationship owner and operational lead for the company’s roster of contracted athletes, artists, and influencers, reporting to the Sr. Director of Sports & Entertainment. This role is responsible for managing talent partnerships that drive user acquisition, brand visibility, and strategic growth. The Team Manager oversees contract execution, deliverables, payments, and live event coordination, ensuring seamless execution of cross-platform brand promotions and appearance strategies. This individual acts as the central point of contact for talent partners and internal stakeholders, maximizing campaign impact and ROI. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong negotiator who can manage high-visibility talent relationships while driving measurable partnership performance and operational excellence.
The impact you'll make:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contracted athletes, artists, influencers, and their representatives.
- Manage and oversee a roster of talent to execute promotional campaigns aligned with company growth and brand objectives.
- Track and ensure fulfillment of contractual deliverables, including social media posts, appearances, content integrations, and brand commitments.
- Coordinate and manage on-site execution for live events, activations, appearances, and partnership opportunities.
- Oversee partnership timelines, key milestones, and reporting metrics to ensure performance standards are achieved.
- Manage payment schedules, invoicing processes, and contract compliance in collaboration with Finance and Legal teams.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with agents, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Social, Content, Creative, Product, and Legal teams to align partnership strategy with broader campaign initiatives.
- Prepare partnership performance reports, recaps, and strategic insights for senior leadership.
- Troubleshoot partnership issues and proactively resolve conflicts or execution challenges to protect brand reputation and ROI.
What you've accomplished:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4–7 years of experience in talent management, sports marketing, entertainment marketing, influencer marketing, or partnership management.
- Demonstrated experience managing contracts, deliverables, and high-profile client relationships.
- Experience coordinating live events, appearances, or brand activations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel for events and talent appearances as needed.
Bonus points:
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategy.
- Experience collaborating with social or content teams on campaign execution.
- Basic content capture or short-form video editing experience.
- Experience working within a technology, digital media, or high-growth startup environment.
- Established relationships within sports, entertainment, or influencer industries.
- Experience using CRM, project management, and contract management tools.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze campaign performance and optimize outcomes.
The base pay range for this position is $78,363.00 - $115,750.00 per year
