About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and qualified Tax Manager to oversee our company’s tax operations. The Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing tax compliance, resolving audits, mitigating tax risks, and developing strategies that promote financial well-being while ensuring adherence to all applicable laws.
To excel, the ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of tax regulations, excellent prioritization skills, and the ability to lead with a proactive mindset, ensuring timely filings and reducing risk exposure.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee indirect tax compliance across sales and use tax, property tax, and gross receipts tax jurisdictions at city and state levels
- Review taxability determinations, nexus analyses, filings, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Lead responses to indirect tax notices and audits, preparing documentation and technical support for tax positions.
- Evaluate and enhance indirect tax processes and controls to improve scalability and compliance integrity.
- Conduct research and provide support for additional functions
- Review federal and state income tax provisions and returns managed by external advisors.
- Support internal and external audits by providing data-driven tax support and ensuring proper treatment of all transactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7–12+ years of tax experience in public accounting or industry, with a focus on the U.S. Sales & Use Tax and multi-state compliance
- Hands-on proficiency in SAP and Avalara .
- Advanced Excel and data reconciliation skills
- Proven experience managing tax notices, audits, and complex regulatory filings.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the problem-solving skills required to operate in a lean, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to colleagues outside the tax team

Compensation Range
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 to 155,000
- This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
