Paralegal
Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join our Legal team. In this role, you will work closely with both internal teams and external counsel, providing support across a diverse range of legal matters that touch nearly every facet of the firm’s operations. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to immerse themselves in the inner workings of an investment firm. While prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is not required, a demonstrated interest in law or finance is essential. Past team members in this role have gone on to attend top law schools or transition into investment positions within the firm.
This position will commence in Winter 2026 or Summer 2026, making it an excellent opportunity for December 2025 or May 2026 graduates, and carries an expectation of a minimum two-year commitment.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with brokers and other counterparties to establish and maintain trading relationships

Maintain company records related to contracts, corporate governance, and legal entities

Work with outside counsel on discovery and document requests for litigation and related matters

Support the preparation and filing of contracts, legal documents, and regulatory materials for a registered investment adviser

Draft and negotiate various agreements and other legal documents in collaboration with attorneys and stakeholders

Collaborate with our investment and business teams to address legal and regulatory needs
