Senior Director, Social Work

The Senior Director, Social Work is accountable for the success of social work - a critical component of the PACE care model that enables seniors to live independently in their community. This strategic owner of the social work function at WelbeHealth evolves our operational infrastructure to standardize and optimize social work operations. Site-based social work managers have a matrixed reporting structure to this leader, and they serve as a single point of escalation for social workers across the organization.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and direction to all social work services across the organization to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our social work team
- Oversee direct reports including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring
- Partner with program leaders to help mentor, coach, and train social work leaders for high performance across all markets as needed
- Build and implement a social work strategic roadmap with appropriate stakeholder buy-in and cross-functional collaboration
- Head the development of new initiatives, workflows, tools, SOPs, etc., to strengthen and standardize psychosocial services across Welbe PACE programs
- Collaborate with the Head of Behavioral Health to develop and implement a comprehensive Social Determinants of Health (SODH) strategy aimed at enhancing participant outcomes and driving organizational performance
- Reestablish near-term and future talent sources, participate in recruiting, and design/execute social work career pathways to and within WelbeHealth in partnership with the People team
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW) required; LCSW or equivalent advanced licensure preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in social work, with at least seven (7) years in a leadership capacity
- Experience in PACE, geriatrics, long-term care, or community-based care strongly preferred; experience in multi-site or centralized management strongly preferred
- Proven experience with program development, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives; consistent track record of driving initiatives that improve operations effectiveness and patient experience
- Experience analyzing data to influence strategy, and experience presiding over a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and oversee people and projects
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and clinical practices
- Ability and willingness to be onsite in WelbeHealth centers 25-50% of days

Salary/Wage base range for this role is $159,939 - $211,119 / year + Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
