Traveling Occupational Therapist

The WelbeHealth Traveling Occupational Therapist is accountable for coordinating and providing restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at day centers and participant homes as assigned. This position works in close coordination with the PACE Physician, rehabilitation staff, and other IDT members to maximize participant independence and safety, and to develop and restore function.
Essential Job Duties:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments in our facilities and in participant homes to define participant care needs, preferences, and goals
- Actively participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans
- Deliver and document occupational therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders or as agreed upon in participant care plans
- Provide training, instruction, and guidance to Therapy Assistants needed to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)
- Provide training and instruction to staff, caregivers, participants, and families regarding the use and care of therapeutic equipment
Job Requirements:
- Required to travel between our market locations 100% of the time for up to 2 months at a time, based on business needs
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive occupational therapy experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of occupational therapy experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy required; masters’ degree preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid California Occupational Therapy license, or proof of license eligibility
