Associate, Strategy and Expansion

Brooklyn, NY, USA; Newark, NJ, USA

At WelbeHealth, we serve our communities’ most vulnerable seniors through shared intention, pioneering spirit, and the courage to love. These core values and our participant-focus lead the way no matter what.

The Associate, Strategy & Expansion is a critical member of the growth team, reporting to the Associate Director of Strategy. This role works closely with the Chief Growth Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and other leaders to shape and execute WelbeHealth’s near and long-term growth strategies. The Associate, Strategy & Expansion will lead key projects including evaluating new market opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, improving existing market growth opportunities, and supporting site launches.

This role is different because the Associate, Strategy & Expansion at WelbeHealth:

  • Directly shapes WelbeHealth’s growth strategy evaluating new markets, assessing financial and demographic opportunities, and helping determine where and how we expand PACE to serve more seniors
  • Operates as a strategic partner to executive leadership – translating complex data into clear, actionable insights and present recommendations to senior leaders, including the CFO, CGO, and broader executive team

We care about our team members. That’s why we offer:

  • Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days
  • 401K savings + match
  • Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus
  • And additional benefits!

On the day-to-day, you will:

  • Lead the evaluation of new market growth opportunities to inform overall future growth: identify key metro areas, submarkets, and demographic populations that would most benefit from PACE expansion, collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to determine financial feasibility of growth opportunities, and partner with Real Estate leadership to determine ideal locations in prospective markets
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for each new center to enable Operations leadership to understand and engage with the communities they’ll serve, including: identifying priority outreach regions and crafting preliminary outreach strategies, analyzing senior care and regulatory dynamics, and understanding language, cultural, and demographic distributions that inform hiring, programming, and other strategic decisions
  • Synthesize insights on existing center growth performance and present findings to Marketing, Outreach and Enrollment (MOE) and Operations leadership teams to guide outreach and operations strategy for a given market
  • Analyze existing WelbeHealth center enrollment performance and areas of unmet need to inform outreach prioritization, as well as conduct competitive assessment of other PACE and duals-focused health plans to inform marketing collateral and strategies
  • Drive high-priority projects from concept to completion, ensuring progress aligns with organizational goals and timelines
  • Balance multiple workstreams, providing actionable insights and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders

Job requirements include:

  • Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a strategy, finance, or business role; experience in healthcare, managed care, or senior care is highly desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to deliver sharp, high-quality analyses and presentations
  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Access to evaluate and manipulate data
  • Proven ability to translate granular data into actionable insights for executive-level audiences
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for data analysis and aggregation, market research, and workflow automation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform and influence cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Ability to build strong relationships across a matrixed organization while remaining self-motivated and independently capable of driving projects forward
  • Fully remote role; candidates can be located anywhere in the US, but preference for East Coast/NYC-based

We are seeking an Associate, Strategy & Expansion who is analytical, resourceful, and mission-driven, with the ability to turn data into strategy and drive high-impact growth initiatives that expand access to care for underserved seniors. If you’re ready to join a team that values both its participants and team members, we’d love to hear from you!

Compensation consists of base salary plus bonus. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package that includes a 401(k) match, comprehensive healthcare coverage, and a broad range of additional benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and relevant qualifications.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
