Principal Scrum Master

The Principal Scrum Master works across multiple teams to build an agile plan to deliver on the enterprise solutions and ensure that we closely manage business needs and expectations of our solutions, get consistent and frequent feedback on solutions design, and recalibrate as business needs evolve. The Principal Scrum Master is accountable for leading a team of Scrum Masters and delivering leads as organizational needs grow.

- Leads agile delivery at an enterprise level, partnering across Data Architecture, Software Engineering, Business Information Management, Analytics, and Business teams to deliver complex solutions that directly support WelbeHealth’s strategic priorities
- Has the opportunity to shape and mature how WelbeHealth delivers technology and data solutions, establishing agile practices, coaching Scrum teams and leaders, identifying systemic impediments, and driving continuous improvement across a growing organization

On the day-to-day, you will:
- Manage agile solution development and delivery, moving development staff towards a structured, agile approach of iterative and rapid value delivery
- Foster an agile solution delivery mindset for the organization, training the larger organization on agile methodologies
- Guide the Scrum teams and organization to follow generally accepted Agile/Scrum practices and daily activities to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each sprint
- Use empirical data to help teams assess their Scrum Maturity, optimize Scrum team velocity, and identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
- Proactively address systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate when needed to prevent challenges from becoming blockers
- Partner with Product teams to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, as well as plan and execute data and information engineering projects through agile implementation
- Liaison with Business and Technical teams to identify opportunity for process improvements, as well as facilitate scrum ceremonies - sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, daily stand ups, and sprint reviews
Job requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in software engineering, project management, data execution and delivery, software engineering, and analytics engineering solutions, especially managing the execution and delivery of high-visibility, ambiguity, and complexity projects
- Minimum of three (3) years of practicing agile scrum master experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in solution delivery leadership, especially information management and data engineering solution delivery, analytics delivery (Kanban), and delivery of solutions designed to simplify operational workflows
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing large-scale initiatives with a focus on driving strategic business objectives through the delivery of application and data architecture and business-facing solutions
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Azure DevOps strongly preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mentoring and developing Scrum team members strongly preferred

Compensation consists of base salary plus bonus. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package that includes a 401(k) match, comprehensive healthcare coverage, and a broad range of additional benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and relevant qualifications.
