Position Title: Part-time Facilities Assistant (approximately 20 hours/week)
Reporting to: Office Manager
Location: Chapel Hill, NC (onsite at our headquarters: 501 W Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC)
Compensation: Facilities Assistant: $16/hour
Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30 am-12:30 pm (extra hours needed during event days)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to help maintain the functionality, cleanliness, and organization of our office spaces at a mission-driven company. This role supports day-to-day operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for employees and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
- Stock snacks and maintain organized supply closets
- Create and manage shopping lists for Sam’s Club and Amazon
- Water office plants and assist with patio upkeep for both Well Chapel Hill offices
- Monitor and reorder inventory, including Bevi water and coffee supplies
- Perform routine maintenance of the coffee machine, including refilling beans and daily cleaning
- Retrieve and distribute mail for both Well Chapel Hill offices
- Unbox deliveries, organize supplies, and dispose of packaging (e.g., collapse boxes and recycle cardboard)
- Keep conference rooms clean and organized
- Perform light maintenance tasks, such as replacing batteries and light bulbs
- Wipe down high-touch surfaces regularly to maintain cleanliness
- Run the dishwasher and organize clean dishes
- Collaborate with vendors and assist with vendor communication as needed
- Support office events by assisting with setup and breakdown (may involve work outside regular hours)
- Assist with building maintenance tasks for both Well Chapel Hill offices
- Perform general repairs and run errands, as needed (preferred but not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Basic repair skills are preferred but not required
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional after-hours support for events
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
