Position Title: Data Analyst, Performance
Reporting To: Vice President of Health Outcomes
Location: Chapel Hill, NC; Newton, MA; New York, NY
Compensation: Data Analyst, Performance ($75,000- $85,000), depending on qualifications, plus bonus and benefits
Job Summary:
The Data Analyst, Performance will be part of the Business Intelligence and Health Outcomes team building the Well’s analytics platform that powers data-driven insights. Our business analytics team contributes to Well through careful curation of data, analysis, visualization, and presentations. The next member of our team will drive projects from beginning to end: frame business questions, collect and analyze data, research, complete analyses, and share insights. They will work collaboratively within a team aiming to make a positive impact on our members, our clients and Well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead KPI Performance Monitoring: Define, implement, and maintain a comprehensive KPI performance monitoring framework, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of key metrics and proactively identifying performance trends and anomalies.
- Drive KPI Improvement Through Experiment Analysis: Conduct rigorous analysis of experiments and interventions to quantify their impact on KPIs, translate findings into actionable recommendations, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategies for optimization and improved performance.
- Enhance Data Ecosystem for Data-Driven Decisions: Develop and contribute to our data and analytical ecosystem by building robust data pipelines, creating insightful analytical tools, and fostering a data-driven culture that empowers business leaders to make informed decisions.
- Streamline Reporting and Data Access: Design and automate ad-hoc and recurring reports and dashboards, identify and integrate diverse data sources, and create transformed, readily accessible datasets to empower stakeholders with self-service analytics and timely insights.
- Educate Users and Promote Data Literacy: Develop and deliver training programs and create comprehensive documentation to enable users to effectively utilize analytical tools and reports, promoting data literacy and informed decision-making across the organization.
- Uphold Data Security and Compliance: Take ownership of safeguarding Well's systems and data, including sensitive member information, by strictly adhering to Well's data and security policies and HIPAA guidelines, proactively mitigating risks, and maintaining a culture of data security awareness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience analyzing health-related data (e.g. wearable data, healthcare claims data, self-reported health outcomes)
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a quantitative field demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills, such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field
- Proficiency with SQL and cloud data warehouse technologies (e.g. Google BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift)
- Experience in developing dashboards and reports to visualize and track key performance indicators (KPIs) using business intelligence applications like Looker, Power BI, and Tableau
- Communication and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate technical analyses to non-technical audiences via intuitive user interfaces and clean visualizations
