Senior Product Engineer
Job description:
Wellist is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the strategy and development of our digital platform. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, User Support, and Client Success to deeply understand the needs of HR Leaders, end users, and key buyers. Your focus will be on optimizing internal support systems, implementing AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, and enhancing the user experience through a seamless omnichannel approach.

Competencies
Drive Strategy & Roadmap for Customer Data & Analytics
- Define and execute the strategy for Wellist’s customer data and analytics platform, delivering actionable insights and intuitive data visualizations.
- Develop and prioritize a clear roadmap of features that align with Wellist’s product vision and drive business impact.
- Gain deep insights into the needs of HR Leaders, Payer Benefits Leaders, and buyers of Wellist services to build solutions that address key pain points.
- Understand the full journey of Wellist users—both members and providers—within the broader behavioral health ecosystem to inform meaningful data solutions.
- Establish success metrics, track adoption, and iterate based on customer feedback and data insights.
Lead High-Impact Product Development
- Own the product development lifecycle, from defining requirements and writing user stories to sprint planning and execution.
- Drive the discovery, ideation, scoping, and launch of user-centric features that enhance both customer experience and business efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to translate complex data into intuitive and impactful insights.
- Continuously evaluate and refine product development processes to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally to Drive Impact
- Partner with Sales and Client Success teams to showcase the value of Wellist’s data and analytics early in customer engagements.
- Advocate for customer-first solutions that not only improve user experience but also enhance internal operational efficiency.
Work closely with internal teams—including strategy, marketing, data science, and engineering—to identify and address key customer needs. - Present data-driven insights on the competitive landscape and user behavior to inform product decisions and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in product development – You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Engineer, Product Manager, or a similar role, ideally within digital platforms, healthcare technology, or SaaS environments.
- Strong technical foundation – You have experience working closely with engineering teams and are comfortable navigating discussions around AI-driven solutions, data analytics, and platform optimization.
- Data-driven mindset – You excel at leveraging data to make informed decisions, define success metrics, and iterate on solutions based on customer feedback and performance insights.
- Exceptional communication & leadership skills – You have a track record of effectively aligning stakeholders, influencing cross-functional teams, and driving initiatives forward.
- Customer-centric problem solver – You have a deep understanding of customer pain points and know how to translate them into meaningful, scalable product solutions.
- Experience with AI & automation – Familiarity with AI-powered tools, machine learning, or automation strategies to enhance operational efficiency is a plus.
- Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment – You thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and stay focused on delivering impact.
