Part Time Nanny – North Cambridge, MA 02140

A family in North Cambridge, MA 02140 is seeking an experienced, attentive, and flexible nanny to care for their infant. Both parents work from home and are looking for a caregiver who is responsive, communicative, and aligned with their caregiving style.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 11am-3pm 
• Occasional flexibility appreciated
• Family travels to the Cape monthly — openness to travel is a plus

Family Specifications:

• Non-smoking home
• 1 small dog (French Bulldog)
• Both parents work from home
• Family values open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for an infant
• Follow baby’s routine (sleep – play – sleep – play)
• Support age-appropriate developmental activities
• Light household support during naps (tidying, bottles, etc.)
• Maintain a safe, calm, and engaging environment

Caregiving Preferences:

• Prefer a caregiver who responds promptly to the baby’s needs and distress
• Someone who loves working with infants and young children
• Open to feedback and able to collaborate with parents
• Experienced, flexible, and able to offer input while respecting family preferences
• Strong communicator who is proactive around the home
• Understands how to avoid overstimulation and follows the baby’s cues

Requirements:

• Experience caring for infants
• Patient, warm, and attentive approach to caregiving
• Comfortable working in a home with parents present
• Flexible and proactive, while respecting family preferences

Compensation:

• $24–$30 per hour (commensurate with experience; flexible for the right candidate)
