Caregiver (Part Time, Special Needs) –  West Babylon, NY 11704

A family in West Babylon, NY 11704 is seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced caregiver for their  8 year old non-verbal son. This is a private hire, part-time position providing assistance teaching development of life skills and helping facilitate daily goals.

Schedule:

  • 2:45-6:00 M, F
  • 4:00-6:00 Tu, W
  • 2:45-4:15 Th
  • Open to weekend hours as well
  • Start date: As Soon as Possible
  • Care duration expected through Summer 2026, with possible extension
  • Trial period required to ensure best fit for the family

Family Specifications:

  • Pet free home
  • Smoke free home

Responsibilities:

  • Support with facilitating a life plan. 
  • Help with social and life skills
  • Assist with personal goals
  • Help with Evacuation skills
  • Provide social and environmental supports
  • Help with community outings.

Requirements:

  • Experience with special needs/non verbal kids required
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration required

Preferred:

  • Experience with ABA preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certifications

Compensation:

  • $30 per hour
