Part Time Companion – Lawrence Township, NJ

A family in Lawrence Township, NJ 08648 is seeking a reliable, flexible, and trustworthy companion/driver to support their elderly mother in her home. This is a non-medical role focused on transportation, meal preparation, and companionship.

Schedule:

• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Hours are flexible and may shift over time based on needs and fit
• Occasional split shifts may be needed with advance notice

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home; No pets in the home
• Client is independent and cognitively sharp with some memory-related challenges. She enjoys intellectual engagement and values meaningful interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to appointments, errands, and activities
• Prepare simple dinner meals daily
• Offer companionship and engaging conversation
• Accompany client on light walks and outdoor activities when appropriate
• Maintain a supportive, respectful, and consistent presence

Requirements:

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - comfortable driving client’s vehicle
• Trustworthy and respectful of privacy and boundaries
• Important note: No medical care required or permitted (no medication management, dressing, toileting, etc.)

Compensation:

• $23 per hour
