Child Caregiver– Lampasas, TX 76550

A family in Lampasas, TX 76550 is seeking a compassionate and dependable attendant for their 11-year-old son with special needs. The family is homeschooling and is looking for someone who can support both his educational development and daily care needs in a structured, supportive setting.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, approximately 8 hours per day
• Potential for split shifts depending on candidate availability

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• Two dogs
• Work-related driving will be done using the family’s wheelchair-accessible minivan

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, hands-on care including feeding tube support, diapering, and comfort with exposure to bodily fluids
• Assist with transfers and mobility support
• Support use of the child’s communication device
• Assist with homeschool curriculum and homework implementation
• Document educational progress and daily activities
• Step in to independently manage physical care needs in emergency situations
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment

Requirements:

• Ability to assist with transfers and physical support needs
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working in a home with pets
• Willingness to learn (training will be provided)

Compensation:

• $20–$25 per hour (commensurate with experience)
