A family in Mountain View, CA 94040 is seeking a warm, experienced, and dependable nanny to provide long-term care for their baby, who will be approximately 6 months old at the start of care. This is a long-term role for one infant, with a family seeking a reliable nanny who can become a trusted part of the child’s early development and daily routine. The family plans to begin with a paid trial period of approximately one week to one month to ensure a strong mutual fit.
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Openness to occasional weekend/evening babysitting a plus!
- Start date: On or around August 3, 2026
Family Specifications:
- Smoke-free home
- One friendly, energetic dog
- One or both parents may work from home at times
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for the infant, including feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental play
- Prepare bottles and baby food; wash bottles and baby dishes
- Complete baby-related laundry and keep the baby's spaces clean and organized
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
As Time Allows:
- Light tidying of shared living spaces
- Occasional simple family meal preparation
Requirements:
- Significant hands-on experience caring for infants, ideally beginning before age one
- Current Infant CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong safety knowledge, including safe sleep, feeding, choking prevention, and infant mobility/baby-proofing
- Comfortable using a shared log or app for feeds, naps, diapers, and notable updates
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Able to provide 2–3 recent professional childcare references, ideally including infant-care references
Compensation:
- $30–$35 per hour, depending on relevant infant-care experience, qualifications, and responsibilities
- California TrustLine registration is preferred, or willingness to complete a background check/TrustLine registration if requested
