A welcoming family in the Marina district of San Francisco, CA is seeking a proactive, energetic part-time nanny or mother's helper for their active 21-month-old son starting in late August 2026. This position bridges afternoon hours following his morning toddler program, in a non-smoking household with a well-trained Golden Retriever.

 

Schedule:

  • Primary Option: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM; Wednesdays from 8:30 AM – 5:30  
  • Schedule Flexibility: Family is open to alternative 2- or 3-day afternoon configurations to fit the right candidate's schedule but must include Wednesday as there is no coverage for that day
  • Anticipated Start Date: August 24, 2026 (no set end date)

 

Family Specifications:

  • Located in the Marina district of San Francisco, CA.
  • Home includes a well-trained Golden Retriever
  • Non-smoking home environment.
  • Seeking a reliable, high-energy caregiver with a proactive "mother's helper" mindset who enjoys active outdoor play, toddler activities, and taking him to different parts of the marina/presidio.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage toddler in fun, age-appropriate play and lead active outings to local neighborhood parks and playgrounds post-nap.
  • Maintain safe, vigilant supervision during active physical play.
  • Perform light household tidying and organization (e.g., child meal cleanup, resetting play areas) while the child is napping.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience caring for toddlers.
  • Comfortable around dogs (the household has a service dog).
  • Ability to comfortably keep pace with an energetic toddler outdoors.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States and willingness to pass a background check.

 

Preferred:

  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Tagalog, Thai, or Japanese language skills.

 

Compensation:

  • $22.00 – $30.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
