Part Time Senior Companion (Spanish Speaking / Dementia Experience Required) – North Miami Beach, FL

 

A warm and attentive family in North Miami Beach is seeking a compassionate, Spanish-speaking caregiver to provide part-time, non-medical support and companionship for an 82-year-old woman with stage 4/5 dementia.

Schedule:

• 3 days per week (exact days flexible)
• 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Approximately 18 hours per week guaranteed

 

Family Specifications:

Peaceful, non-smoking home environmentPrimary language spoken in the home is Cuban SpanishFamily-managed care led by care recipient's daughter

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging companionship and gentle interaction in Spanish (e.g., conversation, watching preferred TV programs)
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily routine
• Prepare meals tailored to recipient's preferences
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and safe environment tailored to stage 4/5 dementia care needs

 

Requirements:

• Native or fluent Spanish speaker (Cuban Spanish fluency preferred)
• 1+ years of experience with senior care and moderate-to-severe dementia (Stage 4/5)
• CPR and First Aid certified
• Must have reliable transportation

 

Preferred:

• Native Cuban Spanish speaker
• Specialized training in memory care or dementia redirection

 

Compensation:

• $15.00 – $20.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
