Part Time After-School Babysitter – Boston, MA

A welcoming family in Boston, MA 02127 is seeking an engaging and dependable part-time babysitter to provide after-school care for their two children, ages 8 and 6. The home is pet-friendly and includes two cats.

Schedule:

• Tuesday and Thursday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (7 hours per week)
• Potential for additional hours on school closure days and during the summer

Family Specifications:

• Two active, school-aged children: an 8-year-old (3rd grade) and a 6-year-old (1st grade)
• Home is located in a walkable neighborhood; school and all activities are within walking distance
• Pet-friendly household with 2 cats

Responsibilities:

• Pick up children from school and walk them to after-school activities
• Provide homework assistance and encouragement
• Prepare after-school snacks and light dinners for the children
• Manage basic cleanup after children and meal preparation

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience caring for school-aged children
• Comfortable walking with children to nearby school and activities
• Comfortable in a home with cats

Preferred:

• CPR certification (family is willing to cover the cost of certification if needed)
• Interest in optional weekend cat sitting when the family travels

Compensation:

• $25–$30 per hour
