Part Time After-School Babysitter – Montclair, NJ

A warm and active family in Montclair, NJ 07043 is seeking a reliable, engaging part-time babysitter to care for their 6-year-old son and 4 year old daughter after school. The position is based in a smoke-free home with no pets.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (15 hours per week)
• Occasional evening or date-night coverage available based on mutual flexibility

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home environment with zero pets
• Values creative, active play and educational engagement centered around games, sports, reading, and arts & crafts

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe transportation from school, playdates, and extracurricular activities
• Assist children with homework and lead educational activities, arts & crafts, and sports
• Arrange playdates and outings
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious snacks and meals for the children
• Handle light housekeeping and children’s laundry related to daily routines

Requirements:

• Prior experience in after-school childcare or babysitting school-aged children
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for transportation

Compensation:

• $16–$30 per hour
• Gas stipend / mileage reimbursement provided for driving required on duty
