Part Time Infant Caregiver – South Sudbury, MA

 

Seeking a reliable, attentive, and caring part-time caregiver for an active and curious 6-month-old infant girl in South Sudbury, MA. The family is looking for a consistent, long-term caregiver to grow with their family through at least August 2027. The home includes one cat (no pet care required). This family has a vaccination policy in place, which will be discussed directly with the candidate.

 

Schedule:

• Days: 1–2 weekdays per week (flexible on specific days)
• Hours: 4–7 hours per shift (approximately 4–14 hours per week)

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• Has one cat in the home
• Parents may occasionally work from home, but caregiver will independently manage infant care
• Strictly no screen time allowed for the baby (TV, phones, tablets, or electronic media)
• Personal phone use permitted during nap times or brief necessary moments, provided screens are kept out of the baby's view
• Caregiver may take the baby into the yard or on local stroller walks, but driving/transporting the baby is strictly prohibited

Responsibilities:

• Provide full independent care for a 6-month-old infant
• Bottle feeding and age-appropriate mealtime support
• Diaper changing and basic hygiene
• Hold the baby for contact naps and provide patient infant sleep support
• Engage in age-appropriate developmental play, including tummy time, reading, singing, and floor play
• Take the baby outside for yard play and neighborhood stroller walks
• Light cleaning up after the baby (bottles, toys, and baby items)

Requirements:

• Proven infant care experience
• Comfortable working in a home with a cat
• Reliable transportation to and from the home (having your own car is strongly preferred)

Preferred:

• Infant CPR and First Aid certifications
• Excellent references

•  

Compensation:

• $25–$30 per hour
• Position includes three paid trial shifts at an agreed hourly rate within this range
