A family in Lodi, CA  95242 seeking a warm, attentive caregiver to provide full-time, round-the-clock care for an older adult in Lodi, CA. The household is smoke-free and pet-free, offering a comfortable, home-centered environment where she enjoys watching classic TV shows and game shows like Un Minuto para Ganar.

Schedule:

• Days: Friday and Saturday (Coverage needed within a 24/7 care plan)
• Hours: Flexible shifts to support 24/7 coverage
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Family Specifications:

• Household environment: Smoke-free and pet-free
• Household context: Family values a compassionate, patient caregiver who can support daily routines, structured afternoon rest schedules, and meaningful companionship.

Responsibilities:

• Provide warm companionship and engage in light recreational activities.
• Daily medication management and administration, including crushing medications and serving with applesauce.
• Assistance with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Transfer assistance and light mobility support, including safe operation of a Hoyer Lift when needed.
• Support with existing physical therapy routines.
• Help maintain daily schedules, encouraging light afternoon activity to support consistent evening sleep routines.

Requirements:

• Spanish language fluency required to communicate effectively with the care recipient.
• Experience with Hoyer Lift equipment and manual transfer techniques.
• Experience with specialized medication administration (e.g., medication crushing/preparation).
• Prior caregiving experience supporting older adults with physical therapy and mobility needs.

Preferred:

• Experience in managing daily activity schedules for seniors to support optimal sleep hygiene.

Compensation: 

• $16 - $21 per hour
