About the Role:
- 12-month casual contract - be part of an exciting new division shaping the future of retention.
- ASAP start - jump into this high-energy role now.
- Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week (Service line operates across 8am-8pm)
- Day shifts preferred (9am–5pm), but PM shifts may be rostered for better outreach (especially to students who are unavailable during the day).
- Work remotely with full support from a fantastic team.
- 3 weeks initial training to get you up and running (Mon-Fri 9-5pm hours during training).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Proactively engage with members whose policies are expiring or who are considering leaving - your goal is to retain and upsell while ensuring they stay covered.
- Make outbound calls (with some inbound) to members, guiding them through their health cover options.
- Hit retention and sales targets - this is not a standard customer service role. A strong sales mindset is required.
- Educate and advise members on their policy benefits, visa requirements, and the importance of continuous coverage.
- Apply empathy and problem-solving, especially during sensitive conversations where members are unsure or facing challenges.
What We’re Looking For:
- Sales and retention experience is a must - we need hungry, target-driven professionals.
- Understanding of the Australian healthcare system - Medicare, private health, and the difference between public and private cover. Overseas candidates must already have this knowledge.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills - Confidently guide conversations to retain members, upsell, and offer the best solution based on their needs. Deliver complex information in a simple, compelling way to help members make informed decisions.
- Ability to build trust and rapport quickly - Engage members in meaningful discussions that make them feel valued and understood.
- Resilience and persistence - Handle objections with confidence and turn hesitations into opportunities.
- Problem-solving mindset - Assess each member’s situation and recommend tailored solutions that align with their visa requirements.
- Tech-savvy and quick to adapt - you’ll be working with multiple systems, so confidence with technology is essential.
- Strong home Wi-Fi connection - minimum 50 Mbps required for smooth call handling.
