Position Overview

The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled professional who plays a vital role in patient care management, serving as a critical link between the medical staff and our patients. This individual performs a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure the seamless operation of our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians during patient examinations and medical procedures
Prepare patients for exams, tests, or treatments
Administer medications as directed by the physician
Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
Perform basic lab tests and electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Educate patients about treatment plans, medications, and physician instructions
Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, orderly exam rooms
Monitor and follow health, safety, and environmental protocols
Keep examination rooms stocked and order necessary medical and office supplies

Qualifications

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred
Certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, NCMA) is a plus

Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
CPR and basic first aid knowledge preferred
