Veterinary Assistant
Westside Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant who enjoys connecting with clients, keeping things moving, and making every patient visit a positive experience.
If you’re an outgoing, organized team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you’ll play an important role in creating a smooth experience for both clients and patients. From coordinating appointments and supporting exam room flow to assisting with treatments and client education, you’ll help ensure our team can deliver compassionate, high-quality care at every visit.
What you’ll do:
- Keep exam rooms and outpatient visits running smoothly while providing excellent patient and client care
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and documentation
- Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients
- Assist veterinarians with outpatient procedures and treatments
- Provide attentive, compassionate care to patients throughout their visit
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $19-25 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday - Thursday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 2+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel assistant, or related role preferred
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
- Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
- Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs preferred
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
- Compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and restrain patients safely throughout the workday
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
