Registered Veterinary Technician
VetCare Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

Our practice cares for a diverse range of patients, including dogs, cats, pocket pets, avian species, and reptiles, offering an engaging caseload where you can utilize and expand a broad range of clinical skills.
In this role, you will play an integral part in both outpatient and procedural workflows, providing compassionate, high-quality care while supporting clients and collaborating closely with the medical team. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, assisting, and recovery for a variety of species
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $24 - $29 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Thursday. Weekend availability is occasionally needed to support coverage, though weekend shifts are infrequent.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Colorado**
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Client communication and education
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, assisting, and recovery
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
- Handling pocket pets, reptiles, and avian experience preferred but willing to train
**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
