Wellspring Animal Hospital is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community. 

Our hospital features a dedicated, state-of-the-art grooming facility where groomers have the autonomy to manage their services, build relationships with clients, and work alongside a supportive veterinary team. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment. 

Qualifications: 

  • Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types 
  • Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards 
  • Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills 
  • Grooming certification is a plus 
  • Portfolio and references required

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression 
  • Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners 
  • Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations 
  • Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures 
  • Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift 

 Schedule and Compensation:

  • Compensation for this role is based on 50% commission on grooming services, or $8 per hour worked, whichever is greater.
  • This is a part-time position, with availability needed: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Satuday

*Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law

This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and other benefits depending on role and location. Where required under applicable law, Company provides eligible employees with paid sick leave, health emergency leave, and other legally mandated benefits programs, all in accordance with the requirements of applicable state and local law depending on the location of the practice you support.

Pay Range
