Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Workers’ Compensation department as a Benefits Coordinator. This entry-level role serves as a key liaison between workers’ compensation insurance adjusters and our clients, helping ensure that injured workers receive the benefits and support they are entitled to. While prior experience in workers’ compensation is not required, strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential. Comprehensive training will be provided.

The Benefits Coordinator is a full-time, in-person position based in our Birmingham, Alabama, office. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Monitor and track the status of workers’ compensation claims and benefit payments.
  • Request, review, and organize medical records, claim documents, and correspondence.
  • Update internal case management systems with accurate and timely information.
  • Assist attorneys and case managers with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Prepare and send routine communications, forms, and follow-up requests.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and client service in all interactions.
  • Perform other administrative duties to support the department’s workflow.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Office or administrative experience (required).
  • Law office experience of at least one year (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
