Purpose: One of the South’s fastest-growing law firms is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. This role is ideal for a self-starter who communicates effectively, takes ownership of their work, and performs confidently with minimal supervision.

This is a full-time, in-person position in our Knoxville office.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, visitors, and internal team members, delivering a high level of professionalism and service
  • Compile, review, and organize medical records and case-related documentation
  • Manage attorney calendars, including tracking and meeting all court-imposed deadlines
  • Open and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Notify claim adjusters and relevant parties of representation
  • Support attorneys with day-to-day case management and pre-litigation processes

Experience in personal injury law is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant
  • Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with legal software systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative
