Property Management Senior Lead

About the Role

The Property Management Sr. Lead will support the Property Management team in addressing lease and landlord escalations from our teams in the field, as well as assisting internal business partners with landlord relations and initiatives.  This role will report directly to the Global Director of Property Management.

Objective:

As the Property Management Sr. Lead you will be responsible for driving resolution of Community and Facilities lease and landlord-related concerns, interpreting lease language,  and advocating for Operations priorities to the Real Estate and Real Estate Legal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret lease language in order to provide clarification and direction to business partners.

  • Guide Community teams through complex Landlord disputes regarding lease responsibilities.

  • Drive cost reduction through attentive lease analysis and by enforcing lease rights.

  • Lead bi-weekly territory meetings to review ongoing landlord concerns and coordinate internal response.

  • Partner with the legal team to track and address operations-related landlord notices and defaults on a building level. Advise field teams on how to respond in these situations.

  • Develop productive, consistent rapport with landlord teams and guide Community, Facilities, and internal business partners through the same.

  • Support the review of proposed lease documents and drive high-level regional sign-off by compiling data and documentation from cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain multiple databases, including a current list of all Landlord and Property Management contacts for a complex portfolio.

  • Support in abstracting leases, compiling reports, and communicating key data points on all leases.

  • Compile and analyze available data to find opportunities for operating expense reductions.

  • Assist with documenting and implementing team, department, and company process improvements.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Postgraduate and/or other certifications a plus)

  • At least 3-5 years experience in Facilities Management or Property Management

  • Experience with lease management preferred

  • High level of problem solving and critical thinking skills, with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excel and data analysis skills strongly preferred

  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
