Team Security Lead

Team Security Lead is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety and security of Angel City Football Club, including its athletes, coaches, staff, and associated facilities. This role involves the development and implementation of comprehensive security protocols, managing security teams, and coordinating with local law enforcement and venue security to safeguard the club's operations, practices, games, and travel.
The Team Security Lead plays a key role in maintaining a secure environment for all stakeholders. The schedule will be based around the player's training schedule, home games, away games, and all travel.
Responsibilities:
Security Planning and Management:
- Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive security plans for all club-related activities, including practices, games, events, and travel.
- Conduct risk assessments and threat analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and proactively address security concerns.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement, venue security teams, and other authorities to create and maintain a secure environment for all club activities.
Event Security:
- Oversee all security operations during games, practices, and other team events, ensuring safety for players, staff, and spectators.
- Ensure player safety from arrival to departure at all events, including coordinating with transportation/rideshare/private vehicles, etc.
- Manage the recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of security personnel as needed.
- Monitor and maintain security systems and equipment, including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
- Create a system and policy for visits to the stadium by other staff, media, VIPs, etc. in conjunction with the Facility Operations Manager.
- Work directly with VP of Event Operations for onsite issues at home stadium.
Travel Security:
- Develop and enforce travel security protocols for the team, ensuring safe travel arrangements, accommodations, and logistics.
- Coordinate with transportation providers and hotel management to ensure secure accommodations and timely, secure travel for all club members.
- Attend all home and away games.
Crisis Management and Response:
- Design and implement emergency response plans covering a range of scenarios, including medical emergencies, natural disasters, and potential security threats.
- Lead and conduct regular training sessions and emergency drills for all staff and security personnel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related incidents, ensuring prompt, effective response and communication with relevant parties.
Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain ongoing communication with team operations, staff, and external security partners to address any emerging security concerns.
- Provide detailed reports on incidents, security assessments, and ongoing threats.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Director of Soccer Operations on the status of security measures, any risks, or critical issues that may impact the club.
Policy Development and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to club security and safety.
- Ensure all security protocols comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Stay informed of the latest security technologies, trends, and developments to continually enhance the club's security capabilities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in security management, preferably in sports or entertainment.
- Proven leadership and managerial experience, including team building, staff training, and performance management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, surveillance systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the club's activities.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions.
- Capability to respond quickly to emergency situations and manage physical security tasks as necessary.

Compensation
In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $100,000 to $115,000 DOE
