About the role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director of Financial Planning and analysis (FP&A) will play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy. This role oversees financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to enhance financial performance, providing insights that influence both short-term operations and long-term strategic goals. Success in this role requires the ability to think beyond traditional financial frameworks and work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, HR, and key business stakeholders to address evolving business needs.

You will operate within a complex organizational structure that includes 7–8 distinct lines of business, each with its own unique key drivers, cost structures, and operational priorities. This environment demands a high degree of flexibility, adaptability, and strategic thinking to support diverse business models and growth initiatives effectively.

Here’s what you’ll do day to day:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to drive business decisions.
  • Strong understanding and grounding in accounting to ensure accuracy in financial models.
  • Partner with business units to track KPIs and OKRs and optimize financial outcomes.
  • Prepare financial presentations, board materials, and investor reports.
  • Work closely with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  •  Support M&A activities, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and post-merger integration.
  • Enhance financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or related fields.
  • Prior experience as an analyst, preferably in a banking or private equity environment.
  • Strong understanding and grounding in accounting to ensure accuracy in financial models.
  • Experienced in accounting, cash flow management, revenue analysis, and profitability analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools. 
  • Experience with NetSuite and Pipedrive.  Ability to leverage GenAI programs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to scale work product.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to executives and key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or CFA certification is a plus.


The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000+ plus a performance-based bonus and serves as a general guideline reflecting the potential compensation for the role. The final salary offer will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as the candidate's experience, expertise, alignment with the position's requirements, and, ultimately budget approvals.
