About the role:
As a Bar Back, you’ll be the essential support system behind our bar operations—keeping things stocked, clean, and ready so Bartenders can deliver seamless service. You’ll combine behind-the-scenes work with guest-facing hospitality, helping to create a welcoming environment for members, guests, and partners. This role is fast-paced, team-oriented, and vital to ensuring events, activations, and daily bar & events operations run smoothly.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Support Bartenders by keeping the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized.
- Handle bar prep, including garnishes, beverages, and glassware par levels.
- Provide warm, proactive hospitality by assisting guests and supporting service flow.
- Wash and polish glassware, manage small dish duties, and remove trash.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, pantry kitchen, storage, and prep spaces.
- Participate in opening, closing, and pantry cleanup duties as part of the campus team.
- Assist Bartenders during events and activations with setup, service, and breakdown.
- Anticipate supply needs during events and restock proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Hospitality-first mindset with strong teamwork and guest service orientation.
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
- Comfortable with physical work: lifting, moving cases, trash removal.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Previous bar support, hospitality, or service experience preferred.
- TIPS, ATAP, or equivalent alcohol service certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends for events.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, and moving in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to support bar operations and events.
